Role Overview

Lime Street Insurance Brokers Limited is seeking a Lead Protection Specialist to join our newly formed, progressive Employee Value and Protection team. In this key role you will be focused on Business and Personal Protection advice, blending client relationship management, business development, product strategy, compliance oversight, and team leadership/mentoring responsibilities.

You will also work closely with the Head of Employee Value and Protection and other senior leadership to cultivate strong partnerships -both internally and externally- with ecosystem collaborators and key stakeholders.  Together, you will help shape and implement a forward-thinking strategy aimed at redefining the Wellbeing, Health, and Protection market.

The Role

Key tasks and responsibilities:

  • Build & Develop Relationships: Establish and nurture strong connections with key internal teams and external decision-makers to create new business opportunities. This includes cross-selling and increasing sales penetration in the market.
  • Support New Business Efforts: Collaborate with senior colleagues during important tenders and site visits, sharing client insights, market trends, and perspectives to help expand and deepen client relationships.
  • Own Product Development Strategy: Take full responsibility for shaping and driving the strategy for Business and Personal Protection products, working closely with clients, insurers, and ecosystem partners to deliver excellent advice and solutions.
  • Lead Team Growth & Innovation: As a senior team member, contribute innovative ideas, thought leadership, and strategic input to guide the team’s growth and success.
  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Engage with other business areas to support the long-term growth plan, using relationship management, presentation skills, and content creation to assist key clients alongside team members.
  • Mentorship & Career Development: Support and mentor junior colleagues, helping them explore career paths as the team grows into a market leader in Employee Value and Protection, while advancing your own career.
  • Administrative & Strategic Support: Work closely with the Head of Employee Value and Protection and other senior leadership on administrative tasks and important opportunities, preparing to step into management as the team expands.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Act as the key contact for compliance and audit issues, collaborating with the internal compliance team to identify trends, monitor errors and omissions (E&O), and minimize risks like aged debt.
  • Consumer Duty Oversight: Ensure clients receive all necessary information to make well-informed decisions, aligning with consumer duty standards.

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in protection (Business and Personal Protection products).
  • Strong knowledge of protection products and market dynamics.
  • Proven experience advising large corporate clients and securing new business wins.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Solid understanding of the administrative and operational protection matters.
  • Experience of compliance and audits.
